Trip to Lander
We had a delightful trip to Lander to visit Paul and see the area. Unfortunately Nancy was not there but we enjoyed our son and the 4 dogs. Especially Monte the scotty and Ketta. I'm going to try to post pictures again. I sure have problems doing this. The Lander area really seems nice and friendly. Paul's house is big and beautiful. The view from their house is great. We did run into some snow but no real problem. We got 24 MPG with our new van which wasn't too bad. We're leaving tomorrow for Sedona Arizona on one of our timeshare deals. We're looking forward to getting away for a week. Things manage to get a little stressful here, so a break will be good. We really enjoy your various blogs We don't do well at commenting but we promise to do better.
We love each of you hope all is well.
Love.............G'ma and G'pa

Tennessee Trip
Since it's been 3 months since we posted, I thought it was about time. We really enjoyed our trto Tennessee for Franklyn's blessing. Had a good time visiting with the Melvilles and playing with our great great grandchildren. We had a certificate from our Marriott Vacation plan so we stayed at the Vanderbilt Marriott (close to where David works). We had crazy weather. Couple of days of rain, couple cold and 2 really nice and sunny days. We went to the the Zoo (always one of our favorites) toured the university (with a great guide - Dave) I think the big change in altitude effected my meniere's disease. I had an attack while we were there in their living room and Preston said "Grandpa's dead"....
We're doing quite well. Grandma got a series of 3 shots in her knee and it's doing better. Not perfect but better. I've had 4 funerals since we got back. That makes 23 or 24 in the last 18 months. It gets hard to come up with talks. Grandma has been teaching both Gospel Doctrine and a Stake class on marriage and family.

Scene from our 50th New Years Day!!!!!
We were glad to celebrate our 50th New Years Day but we sure missed all of you who were among the missing. From the original 5 of us, Paul had to work and was unable to be there. We have such wonderful memories of the past years. They have gone so fast and we're starting to think that just MAYBE we're getting old(er). Sometime within the next year or so we'll celebrate a wedding anniversary (not too sure which one) Anyway, we love each and every one of you and feel so blessed at what the year's have brought to us in family, and experiences.

Happy Thanksgiving
Since all of you will not be here for Thanksgiving, we wanted to wish each and every one of you a very Happy Thanksgiving. I also wanted to express my gratitude to Our
Father in Heaven for a wonderful family and a great life. I am so thankful for all of the opportunities that we receive each day. I'm grateful that Gma and I have really good health. Gma's arthritus has settled in her knee and my hearing needs help but all in all we're doing really well. We stay really busy with church and family. I'm going to attempt to add a couple of pictures of our newest project.(that "our" is generous. Gpa did it all)

Proud of Gma
Don't faint because of 2 posts in as many days. I just want you to see the quilt that Gma just finished. This started as a kit with just the "leaf shaped pieces and the round yellow centers" She has been persistent in putting many many hours in completing
this. She had not done such a thing before so it did entail a lot of frustrations, etc. But she did it and I'm proud. (besides, it's warm on our bed)

Journey to Iowa
We've just returned from an excellent trip to Iowa. We are so pleased with our grandchildren and their families. (this applies to ALL of you). We were a little concerned to see snow in Wyoming on the way. Fortunately it didn't come down while we were driving -just light rain.
We drove 10-12 hours on our first days out and back. Not bad for old folks. Our visits to both families were just really neat. We pretty much got to be integrated with the daily activities. Both visits included trips to excellent museums We have been really impressed with Iowa's family
friendly atmosphere. It was great to have a little time to see Paul and Nancy and to have us all
there for Jacob's blessing.
Though I don't always have good luck posting pictures, I'll give it a try.....I don't know why but it seems it will only let me post four or five pictures....oh well.
