Journey to Iowa

We've just returned from an excellent trip to Iowa. We are so pleased with our grandchildren and their families. (this applies to ALL of you). We were a little concerned to see snow in Wyoming on the way. Fortunately it didn't come down while we were driving -just light rain.
We drove 10-12 hours on our first days out and back. Not bad for old folks. Our visits to both families were just really neat. We pretty much got to be integrated with the daily activities. Both visits included trips to excellent museums We have been really impressed with Iowa's family
friendly atmosphere. It was great to have a little time to see Paul and Nancy and to have us all
there for Jacob's blessing.
Though I don't always have good luck posting pictures, I'll give it a try.....I don't know why but it seems it will only let me post four or five pictures....oh well.

That looks like such a fun trip! And I'm so jealous you've been able to see Jacob already. Also, I love the quilt Gma! That does take a lot of talent and patience.

April it takes patience at least. I tell everybody they can't look to closely. How is school going? Bet your students love you!

April, don't let G'ma fool you. The quilt looks cool even up close. She just knows where all the problems are, but most people will not even see them. I,too am jealous. I keep wondering when I will get to go to Iowa again. I know I can make it to Wyo. if you all meet there again. Yes, I will crash your family party if given half a chance!
