Iowa Trip

Thought it was about time to try to post pictures again. Here are some I took in Iowa and Nebraska. The chapel shown is the very first ward we belonged to in the chruch. (The one in guam was a branch and a quonset hut)

Post from Iowa

Here we are, posting from Iowa. We arrived here around 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Stayed just west of Kearny, Nebraska the first night. Ann was right, the accomodations are great. I told Tammy it was nice staying in the Honeymoon suite. The kids are wonderful. Sure are active, especially for 73 yr old bones. This is certainly a super family. A real good thing about Iowa is the gas prices. Wyoming and Nebraska were in the over $3.00 range. Also, regular here is 87 octane. So all together it's a good deal gas wise. (of course this is comparitive since gas is too high all over. I was saddened by Utah's loss to TCU (Not too saddened though) It sure sets up BYU vs TCU.

Visiting

Since it's been a couple of weeks since we posted (even Peter beat that) thought we'd better. We're leaving tomorrow morning to drive to Iowa to visit Tammy and Greg and the greats. We are excited to be going. We're driving this time so it'll take a couple of days. We've been thinking (dangerous) since we're scheduled to go to Todd's graduation in May, maybe we could head Texas way around Jan-Feb or whenever is convenient? Perhaps we could share Harry Potter stories with Shane? Oh, just a word about the football game last Saturday. Yes, I confess, we left 40 seconds early. (However we saw the last as we were walking down the ramp) We did cheer pretty good but they (BYU) went to sleep during the 3rd quarter. It was a good game though. It'll help to get ready for that Texas team on the 24th. Just one other thing. We've discovered that Gma has a slight problem with diabetes. Her sister, Mary Lou has it now, also. It (the glucose reading) is not terrible and the doctor thinks she can control it with diet and exercise. So she's been dieting and I've lost weight. (So has she and we both feel better. So, anyway, we'll be checking blogs at Tammy's and post later.
