Spiritual Experience

We had a great spiritual experience last night. We attended a Family Home Evening at the home of Lorna Wood. (Her husband, Lowell, who died in Apia Samoa, was the Area President who was responsibile for our going to Samoa). She had invited V. Dallas Merrell and his wife to speak. He was a member of that same Area Presidency. He told of his association with the Catholic Church. While in Australia he had attended a huge meeting of church leaders including the number 3 man in the Vatican. While they were waiting to begin, he decided that since he was the only holder of the Priesthood in attendance, he should greet everyone. So he proceeded to do just that. To make a long story short, he met this number 3 Catholic who had never met a Mormon and was interested in learning about us. As it turned out, they couldn't get together in Australia and the First Presidency authorized him to travel to Rome. He met several Cardinals and had very positive experiences. One of which was when he explained about the keys of the Priesthood. One Cardinal said he wondered where they went. There were many other experiences. One of the most significant was an agreement (later on as a result of his contacts) for BYU to receive some sacred records which they are digitizing for use of all faiths. There are many more things which I won't even try to document. It was a great evening.

Going back to the bookcases-with all the books we gave away when we moved we still have one big and six small bookcases. Think it runs in the family?
